This is a close up view of the U.S. coast line.  If this storm approached the U.S. coast, the image also includes the track of Tropical Storm / Hurricane "ILSA".  The official National Hurricane Center records indicate this tropical system became a "Named Storm" or Tropical Storm on Wednesday, September 24, 1958 .  The maximum strength for this storm on the Saffir-Simpson Scale was "CAT 4".  The initial location of this storm was Latitude 17.3, Longitude -50.8. This storm was downgraded to a Tropical Depression or dissipated on Tuesday, September 30, 1958.
